What we are — and are not
- UnclaimedCash.ai (a You Noah Guy Corporation company) is an independent asset location service. We help people find and recover unclaimed property held by U.S. state governments.
- We are not affiliated with the California State Controller's Office or any government agency, and we do not provide legal, tax, or financial advice.
- You can always search for and claim your property yourself, for free, directly with the state — for California, at claimit.ca.gov. You never need us to file a claim.
Fees
- Searching is free. We are paid only if money is actually recovered for you, under a written agreement you sign first.
- For California property, our fee is 10% of the amount recovered, the maximum permitted by California Code of Civil Procedure §1582, and no fee agreement covers property received by the Controller within the preceding 12 months.
- For property in other states, fee terms depend on that state's law and will be confirmed in writing before any agreement.
No guarantees
We cannot and do not guarantee that unclaimed property exists in your name, that any claim will succeed, or any specific amount or timeline. Search results describe records held by state agencies; the state makes all final decisions on claims.
How engagements work
- Nothing is filed and no fee applies until you review and sign a written agreement. Every agreement includes a plain-language cancellation clause.
- A human reviews and approves every document our AI agents prepare before it is sent to you or to any state agency.
- You agree to provide accurate information and to use the service only for property you have a lawful right to claim. You must be 18 or older.
Liability
The service is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the fees you actually paid us.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
